Following the Introduction Paragraph is the Body Paragraph(s). Each body paragraph will expand on one of your supporting arguments in the thesis statement. If you have two arguments supporting your main claim or opinion, you will have two body paragraphs. Likewise, if you have three arguments supporting your claim or opinion, you would have three body paragraphs in your essay.

The first Body Paragraph explains and supports your essay’s most essential or strongest argument in your thesis. Always start with your strongest argument.
