Hook Sentence Restatement

To start the Concluding Paragraph you need to restate the Hook Sentence with slightly different language. Whatever the main idea is in the Hook Sentence, the restatement should expand on this idea in a general or worldly way. For example, if a quotation with respect to “love” is used as a Hook Sentence, then it can be restated by writing about how important “love” is to people in the world.

To rewrite a sentence, use synonyms, different word order and different sentence structures (active / passive or simple / complex / compound) to be effective. Make sure to think about the grammar that needs to change when writing a restatement.

Example

A role model is a person looked up to by others as an example to be imitated and inspired by. (Hook Sentence – Definition)

Restatement

Not having a worthwhile role model may result in a lack of inspiration and motivation, ensuring people not being able to push themselves to conquer life’s challenges and attain success.
